Worth knowing

Steinplatte Winklmoosalm ski resort, with dreamlike pistes of all difficulty levels, offers unlimited skiing enjoyment. On the German side, the Winklmoos-Alm ski area starts in the municipality of Reit im Winkl at Seegatterl. On the Austrian side, Steinplatte ski area is accessed from Waidring.

Lifts and pistes

Modern gondola lifts on both sides take winter sports enthusiasts directly to the ski area. The cross-border ski area is served almost exclusively by very modern lifts. Wide and varied pistes are a striking feature. Winklmoos-Alm in Bavaria is a paradise for beginners, while Steinplatte in Tyrol offers several challenging pistes as well as easy runs.

Additional attractions include a snowpark, funicular, cosy ski huts, cross-country ski trails and wonderful panoramic views from Steinplatte.
