Arabba/Marmolada

The Arabba/Marmolada ski resort is part of the famous Sella Ronda ski circuit in the Dolomites. From Arabba, lifts and pistes extend in three directions. To the north, they climb towards Passo di Campolongo (1,875 m), beyond Alta Badia. To the south, they take you via Passo Padon (2,370 m) to Malga Ciapela and the famous Marmolada (3,342 m). On the highest mountain in the Dolomites, the ski area extends as far as Punta Rocca (3,269 m). To the west, the winter sports area stretches to Passo Pordoi (2,239 m), including Fassa Valley (Val di Fassa). To the west, the impressive Sella group and Piz Boè (3,152 m) rise above the village of Arabba, at an elevation of 1,602 m. In addition to skiing, the Arabba/Marmolada ski resort offers many other activities.

Worth knowing

The Arabba/Marmolada ski area offers an excellent choice of slopes. From Arabba, you can ski to the highest mountain in the Dolomites, Marmolada. Arabba is also an ideal starting point for the famous Sella Ronda ski circuit. The pistes lead around the Sella group through Alta Badia, Gröden (Val Gardena) and Fassa Valley (Val di Fassa), back to Arabba. However, the slopes around Arabba also offer a wide variety of spectacular scenery. Surrounded by the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites, Arabba and Marmolada offer fantastic views. The 12-km Bellunese route from Marmolada to Malga Ciapela is sensational. The challenging pistes on Porta Vescovo are a demanding test. The gentle slopes from Burz to the Cherz plateau are enjoyable.

The ski resort is located directly on the famous Sella Ronda and is therefore linked to more than 500 km of pistes.

620 snow cannons cover 98% of the pistes.

There are valley runs from the slopes. Valley runs lead to Arabba (1,602 m) and Malga Ciapela (1,466 m)

Longest run

The longest run here is Bellunese (Marmolada), 12 km long, with a vertical drop of 1,823 m.

Most difficult run

Sourasass. Length: 2 km. Vertical drop: 400 m. A black run on Porta Vescovo.

Routes around the resort

Sella Ronda: Arabba/Marmolada is part of the world-famous Sella Ronda. In approximately 5 - 6 hours, this panoramic route around the Sella group takes you through the ski areas of Alta Badia, Gröden (Val Gardena) and Val di Fassa (Fassa Valley).On the Sella Ronda, you can ski in two different directions. The higher and more challenging orange route runs clockwise, while the green route runs counterclockwise.

Marmolada glacier excursion: from Arabba to Malga Ciapela and by aerial tramway to Marmolada. At Punta Rocca (3,269 m), you can enjoy a sensational panoramic view from the observation deck.

Arabba is part of the Gebirgsjäger (Grande Guerra) ski tour.

There is no halfpipe.

Modern chairlifts and gondolas around Arabba take you to the ski area. Some chairlifts have protective covers. Arabba is part of the Sella Ronda, the ski circuit around the Sella mountain group. All lifts leading to the Sella Ronda are fast and detachable. The six-person Arabba Fly chairlift connects the two sides of Arabba. The chairlifts from Arabba towards Malga Ciapela and Marmolada have lower capacity. From Malga Ciapela, steep aerial tramways ascend to Marmolada in three sections. The panorama from the observation deck at 3,269 m is magnificent.
