What visitors say about the resort
The gondola and the main run carry the praise. Running since 2007, it lifts skiers from the village through roughly 600 m of vertical in eight-seat cabins that arrive frequently. The Sorica piste stretches over two kilometres, broad and scenic, with snow cannons and floodlights that allow evening skiing. Reviewers also like the easy access from the Bucharest to Brasov road and the separate nursery slope with a magic carpet.
Piste condition and service draw the criticism. Near the drag lift at the top, visitors reported ice, exposed rocks and piled-up snow, and the run fills up noticeably at weekends. One account describes the gondola stopping for half a day with no refund on the lift pass. The fragmented set-up also frustrates people: separate operators run the lifts around the town, there is no single pass, and the price feels high for the amount of skiing.
