Near the resort town of Janské Lázně - Černá hora, 2.5 km of cross-country trails run at the foot of Giant Mountain (Giant Mountains (Krkonoše)). There is also an aerial tramway and fourteen mostly intermediate pistes, including the gentle 3 km Černá hora piste with a respectable 560 m vertical drop. Pod Kabinou covers the same vertical with a steep 2.6 km descent. Heavy snowfall is common in Janské Lázně - Černá hora.
