The slopes themselves earn the praise, and they cover every level. Strong skiers come for the FIS-graded Sciana run, pitched at up to fifty per cent in places, while everyone else cruises the long, easy Puchatek, floodlit until ten in the evening. Every run can be covered by snowmaking, and experienced visitors share a useful trick: stay on the upper half of the mountain and lift waits drop to a couple of minutes.

Queues and prices are the sore points. The worst offender is the slow two-seat chairlift up Puchatek, where crowds build, and the two-stage cable car takes around twenty minutes to the top. Visitors complained that some sections were out of service while passes were still sold at full price. Grooming is too infrequent, so the runs get chopped up fast. There is no free parking, lessons are expensive and service is described as poor.
