The praise is for a quiet family area without mass tourism: there are no queues and the atmosphere is called intimate. The newer ten-seat gondola stands out, as do grooming quality and snow reliability, both of which score highly in resort tests. The learning area at the valley station, with its magic carpet, children's lift and carousel, is free to use. Lift passes are considered cheap, and mountain huts, staff, toboggan runs and cross-country trails all get good marks.
Size is the main complaint: the area is small and skied out quickly. The runs are mostly easy to intermediate, so strong skiers and freeriders find little to hold them. Apres-ski and evening life are subdued, and anyone after lively bars has no reason to come. The choice of accommodation at the base is also called modest.
