What visitors say about the resort

The praise is for snowfall: Limone is a magnet for retour d'est storms and can bury itself in powder, the winters are cold and the snow guns often go unused. Reviewers point to a broad spread of pistes and off-piste linking three valleys, a handsome and lively town with good restaurants and bars, a cheap lift pass by Alpine standards, and empty slopes midweek and during storms. Train access from Turin is another plus.

Ageing infrastructure in some sectors draws criticism: the Q.1400 and Limonetto areas still run old, slow chairs, and several key lifts shut down precisely when the storms are best or visibility drops. The southern position and low base bring wide swings in temperature and precipitation, so cover down low can be unreliable. Beginners complain about the shortage of easy runs. Guests have also reported broken parking meters and forty-minute waits at the ticket windows.
