The praise is for the calm: no crowds, no queues, which is why families and people who just want a quiet day on snow keep coming back. Staff and instructors are described as warm and patient with beginners. The pistes are well kept and graded so that novices and confident skiers share the same slope without friction. The aspect is another plus - the runs catch sun for most of the day.
The complaints concern the hardware and the reliability of operations. The lifts are old, built around a two-seat chair and drag lifts: some call it retro charm, others find it simply tiring. The area has a difficult history - after the previous operator went bankrupt it came close to being dismantled, and it was saved by a new company put together by the municipality and local businesses. The opening was later delayed by technical faults, and the calendar stays cut back to weekends and holidays.
