Worth knowing

Schilthorn is the highest ski resort in the Bernese Alps. It offers skiers a breathtaking panoramic view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch", which includes the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Lifts and pistes

Cable cars run from Stechelberg to the car-free village of Mürren and the ski resort. An additional access point to the winter sports area is located in Lauterbrunnen. You can reach the ski resort near Winteregg by using the cable car and narrow-gauge railway. A valley run with snowmaking leads back to Lauterbrunnen.

Steep, long slopes and cosy mountain huts will make skiers' hearts beat faster. The modern lift network takes skiers and snowboarders all the way up to Schilthorn (2,970 m). The large Skyline snowpark will impress freestyle skiers. In addition to skiing, you can ski down to Mürren. Peace and quiet can be found on the network of winter hiking trails between Mürren and Lauterbrunnen, set against the spectacular mountain backdrop of the winter sports area.

At the top, you will be impressed by the Skyline View panorama, the revolving restaurant, Bond World and the 007 Walk of Fame. Schilthorn and Piz Gloria were filming locations for the Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
