Vaujany is a ski resort in the Northern Alps region (France). Gentle runs predominate, so the resort suits beginners and families with children.

The ski area rises from 1,250 to 2,800 m, with a vertical drop of 1,550 m. This vertical allows you to ski from top to bottom without changing lifts and noticeably changes the conditions during the descent. The upper pistes are at high altitude, so snow lasts longer than on the neighbouring lower slopes. The season usually runs from 5 December to 11 April.

The appeal is a quiet, genuine village combined with access to the huge Alpe d'Huez domain: the big cable car lifts you into it in minutes. Reviewers value the lifts and covered escalators linking the village levels, the pool and ice rink, the sunny aspect, pleasant restaurants and evening fixtures like curling, hockey and fondue nights. Lodging and services cost less than at most French resorts.
The complaint is that you cannot ski from the village - everything starts after a lift ride. The cable cars up fill to bursting and the line gets long if you time it badly. The multi-level layout is awkward with children, and a removed link leaves some walking uphill. Part of the lift fleet is old and slow, shops are few and the supermarket poorly stocked, the pass is judged expensive for what is on offer, and nightlife is essentially absent.
