Ski resorts in Apennine Mountains (Appennini)
4 resorts
The Apennines run across Italy from north to south, giving the country a second, much less well-known ski region away from the Alps and Dolomites. The resorts here are smaller, but prices are lower, and the slopes are easy to reach from Rome, Florence and Bologna.
The largest ski area is Roccaraso-Rivisondoli in Abruzzo, with almost 100 km of pistes. Nearby is Campo Felice, while in the north, a couple of hours from Bologna, lies Corno alle Scale.
