Bukovel

Bukovel is a ski and spa resort located in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast in western Ukraine. The resort is situated on the ridges of the Carpathian Mountains at an elevation of 900 m above sea level, near the village of Polyanytsia (Yaremche municipality). The resort has 61 pistes: 12 blue (easy), 41 red (intermediate) and 8 black (difficult). The longest piste is 5G, at 2,106 m. The highest point is on Dovha Mountain at an elevation of 1,372 m, while the base is at 900 m above sea level, giving a total vertical drop of 472 m. In 2006, Bukovel became the first Ukrainian resort to boast Alpine-class facilities.
