Izky lies on Mount Magura in the Mizhhirya district of Transcarpathia, not far from Pylypets. There are only two lifts, but the slopes are wide and gentle, so even in the holidays there is room on the pistes. Almost all the skiing is easy, with a school and rental on site and a small park. The vertical is low, under two hundred metres, and there is no snowmaking.

What visitors say about the resort

Visitors praise the upkeep and the modern kit: the main slope is wide, a groomer and snow guns keep it working even in lean snow years, and the runs are floodlit in the evening. Guests write that it feels closer to a European resort than to a typical Carpathian hill. They also value having accommodation barely fifty metres from the lift, plus a ski school, a spa and a Hutsul culture museum on site, with staff described as warm but never pushy.

Prices draw the complaints - a stay works out dearer than at comparable Carpathian spots. The road is the other recurring gripe: the resort sits well off the main highway and the approach is badly surfaced. The skiing is aimed at beginners and intermediates, with only green and blue runs and nothing steep, and the area is small: essentially one main slope with a chairlift and a drag, plus a short beginner tow.
