Ski resorts in Georgia
The most popular mountain resorts in Georgia from the top five are Gudauri and Bakuriani. Tetnuldi, Goderdzi and Hatsvali - Mestia may soon become serious competitors.
Gudauri. The highest point is 3258 m. The 22 pistes have a total length of 75 km, with the longest measuring 7.5 km. The resort has 7 conventional lifts and several T-bars.
Bakuriani. The oldest resort for experienced skiers. It has several ski areas with 4 pistes of varying difficulty.
Tetnuldi. A new resort. Its main advantage is its elevation, from 1600 to 3165 m. It has 6 Poma chairlifts and 16 pistes with a total length of around 30 km.
Goderdzi. The snowiest resort offers just 2 lifts and 8 km of blue pistes, 670 km for skiing, 18 km of pistes and a highest point of 2.4 km. Beginners will be pleased, as there are few people here.
Hatsvali - Mestia. A resort with a highest point of 2347 m, three pistes (red, blue and a 300 m beginners' piste), three lifts and freeride areas.
Well, Georgia's pistes are interesting and varied. But we recommend Gudauri - it has everything alpine skiing enthusiasts need.
