Ski resorts in Australia and Oceania

Oceania is Australia and New Zealand, and the season here is the opposite of Europe's: lifts operate from June to October. Australian resorts are concentrated in the Snowy Mountains in the southeast of the continent, while those in New Zealand are mainly on the South Island, around Queenstown and Wanaka.

Elevations in the region are modest, just over 2,000 m, but the ocean is nearby and there is enough snowfall. Perisher- the largest resort in the Southern Hemisphere by number of lifts - Thredbo has Australia's greatest vertical drop, while New Zealand's Cardrona and Treble Cone are known for their lake views and excellent snowparks.
